ABOUT US
The Salt City Striders is a loose knit group of runners that aim for quality, not quantity. All you need is a love for the sport and the willingness to participate one way or another and you will be welcomed wholeheartedly by the other members. The information received in the monthly newsletter and the camaraderie of fellow runners each month is well worth the $20 family or $10 single membership fee. Also, we have our own website "www.saltcitystriders.com" where you can get your name included in the results of the races and view the calender of upcoming races (if you are a race director don't hesitate to ask us to list your race).
We have a monthly meeting which is always a run. We traditionally have incorporated into these meetings an annual pizza party or two, and an annual Christmas party which includes a Christmas light night run. In the past you have been able to pick out the Striders at the local races by their distinctive logo shirts and it may be time to look for a new design and new shirts since it has been years since this was done (hint, hint).
The Striders normally help with the Run, Stroll or Roll Main Street Mile for the Hutchfest Celebration. Unfortunately, we are one of the few running clubs in the area that does not have our own run that we sponsor, however I'm sure we are open to suggestions.
